Hi my name is LoveGrace Esguerra Guirnalda! I am a 4th year double majoring in psychology and sociology! I am a proud Filipina that started my college journey at North Seattle College through the Seattle Promise program. I am going into my final year at UW and have also worked with many other transfer students through my previous position as a Peer Navigator for Seattle Promise and as a Transfer Ambassador for Path to UW last year! I will also be the next Sayaw Co-Coordinator for FASA sa UW, the Filipino American Student Association at UW for the 2026-27 school year! I encourage students interested in transferring to UW from Seattle Promise to join our Path to UW seminars over the summer to really get involved and experience what being a student at UW can be like!

I love my community here at UW specifically FASA (Filipino American Student Association) and Sayaw (Traditional Filipino Folk Dance Troupe) both have truly become a place I call home and have allowed me to connect with my culture and make new friends!

I felt really lost once I transferred to UW but what really helped me was making new friends even though I was shy and didn't know anyone at first! I would tell students interested in UW to come and explore, get involved in our events and to make the most out of your experience!

City grind at the Henry Museum is a really cute cafe and they have cheap bites too! Check out the Transfer Center in Mary Gates Hall! We host events for transfer students quarterly and it is nice to connect with your Transfer Ambassadors to learn about their experiences too!
